Each dataset is represented by a Data Layer feature organized in groups. Groups and data layers can be edited in the setup.
¶ Data Layers Setup
gives user dialog allowing Import new Data Layes, Organize Existing Data Layers, Change Visual Appearance and Parameters, and switch to another language.
- Import Data dialog allows user to import new Data (currently only rasters import is supported).
- Manage Data dialog allows user to organize data Layers.
- Change Language dialog allows user to change the interface to one of the predefined languages.
- Hide Layers hides all activated Data Layers in one.
- Reset Layers reset inteface to default setup.
- Display 'No Data' Crosses shows croses on the map .
- Logarithmic Filter Distribution change how the data are visualized to better visibility of low values.
- Always Show Site Extent lock visibility of the boundaries for datasets.
- Show Filter Values By % show percentage for values showed in filter panel.
- Manual Gamma Correction shows control element for gamma correction.
¶ Collapse/Expand Group
Collapse and expand the data layer group.
¶ Layer Toggle
Activate and deactivate the layer in the current scene. Please note that activation/deactivation of the layer with also influence some of the tools in Tool Panel
¶ Layer Filter Panel
can be activated by the icon next to Layer Toggle and allows users to select only a certain portion of the dataset base on type of dataset.
- Filtering by a Numeric Value represented by min and max slider.
- Filtering by a Category represented by the list of data categories.
¶ Layer Info Panel
gives user metadata relevant to the dataset as:
- Extents representation spatial boundaries of datasets in degrees
- Size of dataset area in kilometers
- Resolution as the size of one data cell in kilometers
- Units as specified by user importing data
- Year as specified by user importing data to represent time which data represent
- Layer Name full name of the layer
- Source is citation for the dataset
